Kurogane and Fai's relationship develops into something meaningful and quite possibly romantic on Kurogane's part, with emphasis placed on the Acid Tokyo arc. It is never known whether Fai loved him before that turning point in Tsubasa's plot, as a tragic and abrupt event leads to an end in familiar communication and interaction between the two.
RedDestiny: "dude peoplez SERIOUSLY. READ THE FLIPPIN' MANGA BEFORE YOU SAY THESE GUYS ARE SO TOTALLY PAIRED WITH TOMOYO OR CHII."
The series becomes so breath-taking, brilliant, and unpredictable, it would be a shame if it was spoiled for you. In fact, there is only ONE person in the initial party who is not a spy. That person is not who you think it is. The only page safe from spoilers is the 'Home' page and the 'Anime' page, so go over there to read my reasons why what Vic said about Fai was a lie. Otherwise, leave now, before you start regretting miserably that you ever read the spoilers.
((after Episode 42, watch the 3 tokyo revelations episodes on youtube. read chapters 136 to 166. watch the 2 tsubasa shunraiki episodes. read Chapters 180 to 233, and that's the end of tsubasa. you should read xxxholic after that to understand the ending ^^))
Motoyama-san taught me that "loving someone has nothing to do with your physical self; it's a spiritual longing, it's trusting each other, it's wanting the other person to be happy, it's getting outside yourself...that's what true love is." -Autobiography of a Geisha, by Sayo Masuda, translated by G.G. Rowley
-Syaoran_Kozu-: "I was only introduced to CLAMP works last year, but since then I've read and watched a great chunk of their works, and I adore them not only for the characters and the storylines, but because of how they interpret love. I've learned from them that a soulmate, your special someone, even your true love, can be in any person, any race, and gender. CLAMP's characters NEVER fall in love with whatever gender the other is: they fall in love with that person's soul, and whether that soul happens to be in a male, female, or even genderless body, it doesn't matter. They love the soul, therefore, they love the person."
Altomare: "That was so beautifully put, Kozu! And I have to fully agree with you; I have pretty much trashed the idea of sexuality after being a CLAMP fan. The way their characters fall deeply in love with the soul rather than the body made me think: okay, one day I fall in love with someone who, in my opinion, is the best thing since sliced bread: who am I to care what body they have? I love CLAMP for teaching me that, and I believe it is so important for everyone to realize that love should be about the soul and nothing else."
"It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then it's a pairing."
